The effort was clear to see, always was with these kind of things.
Years of practice were just something to be expected with magic
tricks; it was no secret that the best had practiced endlessly to get
as good as they were. Himself included, even though his tricks were
more the kind of making things disappear. Wallets had such a terrible
habit of doing that around him.

Adrian couldn’t help the smile that tugged at his own mouth as that
hand was opened again, laughter that could almost be described as
disbelieving escaping his mouth as his eyes settled on the now blooming
rose. That really was magic, this guy- he couldn’t help but wonder
who exactly he was. No average joe was able to perform tricks like that.

           ”Christ— how the fuck—?”

It was always fun to see the amazement in the other’s eyes, always
fun to impress someone like this, and when the other asked how he
had done the trick, Taylor only shrugged.  He wasn’t going to tell no
matter what the other said or did, was just going to leave the amazement,
and looking down to the palm of his hand, he swiped his other palm
on top and erased the rose.  The rose was gone as soon as it was
there, the ink becoming invisible.

                          “A magician never reveals their
secrets.  I’ve got a few more than
                          those.”

With another flick of the fingers of one hand, he was able to morph a
card back in between his fingers, turning it around to show the card
was a nine of clubs.  Rolling up his right arm’s sleeve to reveal bare
skin, he pressed the card to the skin and covered it with his hand,
covering the process in which the card melded back into his skin. When
his hand was removed, the card seemed to have become a part of
his arm, the nine of clubs facing up as it had been.
